I bought a trex 250 super combo kit which comes with every thing you need to get this heli in the air and flying,servos,motor,esc etc.After I had built it I charged the batteries up and had my first flight,as usual it needed triming a bit and the tail wagged a bit.After triming the heli and setting the tail servo rod to the correct length the tail still wagged,so I tried raising and lowering the gyro gain.After many attempts in different gain settings the wag seemed to not go away no matter what I did with the gain.Ok now im thinking something mechanical is wrong so I checked everything again,servo horn at 90 degrees,no binding what so ever any where,gyro mounting etc.After all this and not finding anything wrong I thought I would double check the gyro settings and even tried running the servos at a lower voltage,Yet again to no avail.I had been searching on the internet by now and had found that the trex 250 can be prone to tail wag and after reading through the various lists of things to check or try still left me at a dead end and a 250 that shook its tail like a happy dog.By now I was thinking im either going to have to live with it or try changing the gyro or tail servo,plus I was just getting fed up with it at this stage.After a week of it sitting on the shelf I thought I would try a servo with a bit more guts to it as the standard one did seem to struggle/bit slow at times.So I ordered a trex 500 tail servo(ds 520),installed it,set it up and it flew like an arrow no more wag.I can throw this heli about doing tictocs,hovering rolls and the tail holds great.It has made the heli slightly tail heavy and I have glued a weight to the battery tray to combat this.

I think that the standard servo was not strong enough to keep making the sudden tail corrections required to keep the tail locked.
